Besides love, what one trait have you noticed in couples that have maintained a successful relationship for many years?:
Friendship, respect and common interests. Since we are always evolving, interests can change, but those who change together can make it work. Friendship is a requirement. It won't work if you don't LIKE each other. Common respect for the other person's values, problems, and daily lives.
Looking back on your life, of what are you most proud?:
Obtaining my teaching certification. I studied in college to be a teacher for many years and then obtained a job in the Oil and Gas Industry and changed my major. After many years of stress and turmoil I was laid off and decided to finally pursue my dream - to teach. I was 46. Although I had few education classes and my major was history (English was a minor) I took the state tests for professionalism and subject matter and passed them with flying colors the first time out. Woo Oho. I love my job.
Describe some personal habits that are important to you.:
Habits? To me habits are little traits that can either be endearing or annoying; so I am at a loss as to what to say here. Habits I have include: playing with my hair when stressed or bored; chewing my nails; saying "what does that have to do with the price of rice in China? I say that to my students when they get off topic. Good habits: I am eating better and healthier now; I take care of my health; I exercise - ride my bike all over this small town; I help my students when personal problems tend to crop up as they usually do; I support my former students in the military - many still keep in contact with me; I sponsor the only community service club on campus. I hope that helps.
What is the most adventuresome thing you've done in the past year?:
This is probably going to sound really lame, because I have not been an adventurous person. I've spent most of my life trying to be everything to everybody, and have not taken time for myself. So, the most adventurous thing I've done was to start internet dating and, as a result of that, to drive 6 hours to visit a man I met online and had only met in person once, which also meant pumping my own gas on the freeway (one thing in which I indulge myself is getting gas at a full-service gas station). For someone who has been shy most of her life (trying to get over it!) that was a big step for me!
What is the most spontaneous thing you have ever done?:
Well, here again, my answer might disappoint you! I'm more of a plan-ahead kind of person. The only thing I can think of is a couple years ago, I admitted my feelings for someone who had been a friend since we were kids. We ultimately decided that we're better being friends than lovers (some behavior patterns are too hard to break!), but if I hadn't spoken up I probably would have spent my life wondering "what if". So, if my answers are less than stimulating (yawn!), keep in mind that I've spent way too long raising kids and need a man in my life who can "spice" things up and help me rediscover the fun things in life.
Looking back on your life, of what are you most proud?:
I m most proud of getting to where I m now. I also am glad I took the time to take care of my parents, ( particularly my Mom) in their last illnesses. Not easy and quite an emotional drain but I m proud I gave back a little of what I got. I am also proud of getting out of a bad marriage and past that quite painful part of my life.

Besides gorging on chocolate? Just kidding. Not sure but it would probably involve a trip around the world w/o the jetlag. Sunrise in New Zealand, Lunch in Europe, and maybe dinner in Alaska.. who knows. Travel is a passion of mine.
What do you think are the three best traits you have to offer a partner?:
A sense of humor that has seen me through a lot of tough, sad, and quite almost impossible times. Strength and loyalty of character. I have had the same best friends for over 30 years... almost like sisters. I am fair minded and try to discuss and not scream through a situation. I dont give up easily. I also have been told I m bright so a sense of intelligence is there w/o being an Einstein which is impossible. Hope you understood my many thoughts.
Describe an interest you have that you would truly hope your partner could share with you.:
oh so many... I love antiques and estate auctions which are definitely more fun with company, gardening of both flowers and veggies, cooking and experimenting in the kitchen allows for sharing at any and all stages along the way from prep work to tasting, movies and theater...always more fun with company, long rides to nowhere... of course I would hope that my love for furr balls would be shared, and even my crafts have room for company at all stages along the way from creation to marketing and selling.
How would you describe your childhood relationship with your mother and/or father?:
I had a good childhood relationship with my parents. They taught me alot and encouraged me to be on my own and take care of myself.
Are you doing what you love? If not, what would you rather be doing?:
I love my work both professional and the things I do for my church and my community. I sometimes dream of not working so hard but know that I could never not work or be involved in things.
If they were making a movie about your life, what would it be called and which actor would play you?:
The title would be something like No One Would Every Believe. I have seen so much and experienced so much with my work and my life around it that it would be an interested drama comedy. I am not sure who would play my role.
In general, how many nights a week do you go out for entertainment? What sorts of things do you like to do when you go out on the town?:
Usually 2 nights a week I like to go out. Usually I will go out to dinner or go somewhere to listen to music. Other things I like to do include attending a movie or a play. In the summer I like to go to outside restaurants or cafes.
What is the most adventuresome thing you've done in the past year?:
I went to Israel in March of this year for 2 weeks. I saw pretty much all of Israel except the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
Describe the worst date you've ever been on.:
I went to the harness races with someone I ended not having anything in common with. It was very difficult making conversation and the activity itself was not very stimulating. I could not wait for the date to end!
In general, how many nights a week do you go out for entertainment? What sorts of things do you like to do when you go out on the town?:
I may go out one night a week. I love to get dressed up and go out to dinner. I am more of a "do things during the day" kind of girl. I love to get dressed up and go out to dinner or to the theater.
How important is it to you that your partner fulfill traditional gender roles? Would you like a woman who will cook, shop and keep house? Would you like a man who maintains the cars, manages the finances, and is handy around the house?:
I think that it is very important for a man to be a man and a woman to be a woman...i feel that there are things that men are more capable of doing and vice versa. But i also think that it is important to share in cooking, cleaning and yard work...working together to maintain a relationship in all capacities is important. I want to know that my partner respects me and will open my door pull out my chair...and i will be the man that makes that person proud. Biblically a woman is to be subservient to his partner but only when he loves her as Christ loves the church. Many men have trouble understanding this, but it is my philosophy.

It's nice to have communication and the ability to step up to what needs to be accompished regardless of gender. But then I don't mind having the door opened for me.

The adoption of my 2 children and parenting them the past 5 years.

This is hard. There is so much that I want to do. I think I would like to travel around the world visiting orphanages and providing the kids with necessities, love and hope.

Just one, watch sporting events, go to concerts or coffee houses. Have dinner with friends.
Tell me about your closest friend. How long have you known him/her; and what do you like best about him/her?:
She is a Nurse and we both share a great love of animals and work hard to make money through fundraiser for our local animal shelter. We have been friends for over 17 years we met where I work. She has a great sense of humor and is a very giving and caring person.

Communication is the key to a great relationship.sharing, thoughts and opinions, discussing the challenges to arrive at a conclusion together. I also believe in mutual respect and understanding for each other is another aspect of a successful relationship along with being flexible.
If you could accomplish only one thing during the rest of your life, what would it be?:
I would like to find someone who would accept my daughter whom is married, my grandson and my soon to arrive grandson to be accepted as their own. I would this person and I would be very much alike and love being together.
What are you looking for in a relationship partner?:
I want someone who is warm, loving, compassionate and well rounded.
How would you spend a romantic evening with someone you have been dating for more than one year?:
Have a nice dinner, and watch a movie and spending time talking about goals and dreams while cuddling in front of a fireplace if in winter are watching the water somewhere.
What are you looking for in a relationship partner?:
I am looking for a mate that is honest, trustworthly, and enjoys quite nights at home cuddling. Someone who I feel safe with and is willing to be an equal partner in the relationship. A man that is not afraid to be a man and take the leadership role at times. Someone who looks that the inside of a person more that the outer shell, and most of all someone who loves Jesus with all their heart and soul and lives their lives to reflect Jesus to others.
Describe the worst date you've ever been on.:
The worst date I was ever on was when I was taken to dinner and then to a club and my date left with another man and asked me to take a cab home. I think that had to be the worse.
What is the most adventuresome thing you've done in the past year?:
Last summer, I went to Panama and explore the rain forest with a group of friends.

I believe that couples should share roles and help each other in creating a healthy relationship. I like the idea of men cooking and changing diapers, and women knowing a little of everything: fixing things, manage finances, etc.
If they were making a movie about your life, what would it be called and which actor would play you?:
It would be called: "Mary" and I would like to be the main character of the movie. My life is full of amazing experiences and adventures.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?:
I wish I could find a way to deal with frustration in a different way. I'm a very patient person (you have to be with kids - my occupation lol)but it seems like sometimes the frustration builds up and I end up snapping at someone who doesn't deserve it. I really hate it and feel so guilty when I do it.
If you could do something totally out of character and remain anonymous what would you do?:
Maybe set it up so the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Future and Present visited a couple of people around town here and took them for some trips. Wonder how much I could scare up in donations that way lolol.
How important is it to you that your partner fulfill traditional gender roles?
Would you like a woman who will cook, shop and keep house? Would you like a man who maintains the cars, manages the finances, and is handy around the house?:
As long as the two partners actively share in the activities necessary to run the household, have agreed on how to split up these activities, that is what is important. Gender roles should be defined within the context of the relationship. I enjoy cooking, for example, but much prefer to do it with help and company in the kitchen.

I'd fly to England with my partner and slip into Windsor Castle, then we'd make mad passionate love in the Queen's bed when nobody was looking (and the Queen was not in it.) I'd have the Crown Jewels on my head at the time, too!
Describe the worst date you've ever been on.:
Years ago, when I was living at home and going to college, I was dating a guy regularly who happened to work night shift. He came and picked me up then we went back to his apartment to eat something and decide what we were going to do that evening.He said, "I've got to lie down for just an hour," and went into the bedroom and fell asleep on his bed. After trying to wake him up, I walked up to a cafe nearby and called my dad to come and get me. I found out later he'd been on a date before he picked me up so he hadn't slept in about 24 hours. Needless to say, we didn't go out again. Kind of funny now, in retrospect.
How big is your extended family? What are the holidays like for you and your family?:
I have five great children: my older daughter is married and has three children from 11 to 6 years old; my oldest son is recently married; my middle son has a steady girlfriend; my youngest son is a senior in college and has a steady girl; and my younger daughter is also college age. My parents are blessedly alive and well, as are several of their siblings. Cousins abound. Every one is a unique personality and I enjoy each one. Unfortunately, everyone is at least a day's drive away, except my older daughter, who lives an hour from me. I am very much a traditionalist for holidays, but of modern necessity often have to content myself with only a portion of my extended family together to celebrate. Holiday preparation is hectic, but the meaningful times together bring treasured moments that I wouldn't exchange for anything.
Describe your ideal man/woman.:
I just reread my "must haves/can't stands", and each detail of that section contains so much truth for me. I have always felt relatively flexible about what my "ideal" might be - in other words, he didn't have to have a certain hair or eye color, be a certain height, live in a certain area, etc. and I know everyone has his own quirks and peculiarities along with his great qualities - but that personal foundation must exist. At this age in life, I may be less demanding in some areas - for instance I have already had children, so raising them is not an issue -but may be more demanding in others - now the "together time" with my mate will be spent with ME, not with a van-full of children and their friends, so I would be less tolerant of annoying attitudes and behaviors. I honestly feel that in the ideal relationship the couple's strengths and weaknesses complement each other to make a strong "whole". That is what I seek - my complementary soul to make a "whole".
Describe the worst date you've ever been on.:
(I tried this whole series yesterday, but all my work was lost!) I don't think I've had a "worst date" as an adult, but I'm sure there must be one back in my youthful psyche somewhere! As an adult, negative dates would be ones in which I could tell the relationship would not go much farther, but we still had a pleasant outing. I hope that through eHarmony, suggested dates can find enough compatibility beforehand, so that there might be more connection potential when they actually meet. This program seems to introduce individuals who may not have had the opportunity to get to know each other within their regular routines. Hopefully, those worst date memories, whatever they were, will remain buried deep in my psyche!
During a typical week, what sort of physical activities do you enjoy?:
I exercise at the health club between 3-5 days a week. I get great pleasure out of going for long walks.
If you could accomplish only one thing during the rest of your life, what would it be?:
I enjoy helping others specifically children. I am a recently retired teacher who has found great satisfaction in giving support and attention to children in need over the years.
What is the best thing an ex could say about you?:
Without asking them personally... I would have to assume that they would say I have a warm heart - somone who is a good listener. Supportive in times of conflict and willing to admit when I have made a mistake.

respect If you respect someone, you will work together in any situation.
During a typical week, what sort of physical activities do you enjoy?:
I teach kindergarten, so I'm on the go all day. Unfortunately, this job also exhausts me mentally, physically and emotionally. BUT, I love my kids. I try to ride my stationary bike some. On the weekends, I either go to MSU's football games(home), shop, hang out with friends/family, church. I also help with the high school football concession stand at home games.
Looking back on your life, of what are you most proud?:
I am most proud of the work I have done with children. So many children today do not have the rich connection with books that I had growing up. I help them to explore their world and expand their horizons. Being one of the few people in school who does not test them -- they are free to express their thoughts and feelings. In my personal life I am most proud of being an Aunt to my nieces.
If you could accomplish only one thing during the rest of your life, what would it be?:
Wow that is a hard one! One thing in the entire rest of my life? To live a life that will have a positive impact on my friends and family would be a start. To be someone who touched the lives of others would be a wonderful legacy. Having experienced the loss of several friends and family, I know it was the person they were that is important -- not their accomplishments.
Describe the worst date you've ever been on.:
That is funny because I have only really been on one real date in my entire life! I was just telling somone at lunch that this is a question you can ask someone. How would I ever answer? Can't really describe a worst date ever -- but I could go on and on about the worst decade ever!
Looking back on your life, of what are you most proud?:
Hi Richard. . How are you this afternoon? I would say I'm most proud of the raising of my three kids! I AM BLESSED! I knew what an important job I had.. BEING A MOM!! and LOVED IT! Was a stay at home Mom for a lot of years.
What is the most spontaneous thing you have ever done?:
I do think and pray things out. .but if I have the go ahead. .I GO. Have left jobs quickly at times. .with no regrets. Probably the most though was getting married IN A WEEK when I was just 18. Was engaged but we kept moving it up. And I wasn't pregnant!! ha just wanted to be married!
How would you spend a romantic evening with someone you have been dating for more than one year?:
This is a question I usually ask! ha I guess I'm more TRADITIONAL. ..and hope the man takes the lead here. But at times when I would. .his birthday, etc. It would be something planned with him in mind. . .places or things/food he likes. Personally I do like atmosphere. .so like outside deck tables. .or inside by the fire. .wine, cozy. . etc.
What is the one dream for your life you most look forward to having come true?:
Well, one thing I had always wanted was to have a child and I now have that a beautiful daughter. So it would seem the only thing left is a wonderful loving partner to share each others joys with. I have been saying that my picker is broken when it comes to men so, I'm now sort of leaving it up to the big man upstairs to see what he turns up.
If you had three wishes, what would they be?:
To find a true partner/love of my life. Win the lotto Help those that want to help themselves, maybe build and run some sort of place that would, you know, teach a man to fish so he could feed himself. There would be a lot behind what all that would take. Finding ways to get the people to feel good about themselves again etc. etc.
What is the most spontaneous thing you have ever done?:
I do like to be spontaneous in most I do, from cold calling on customers to deciding, when I get up, to go to say.. the Home & Garden show. To taking off for another state to go to some sort of evert. I have a timeshare so it's nice to just take off to one of the resorts and then find something to do in that area. Spontaneous might be to go buy a $36K car, a $2,500 bed these being the 2 things I seem to spend the most time in. Don't know if I'm just tired but can't really think of any really grand thing right now.

I believe that having some strong interests, plans, goals that they share is very important, similar money management styles (this is often one problem involved in divorce), acceptance of each other's quirks, being supportive of those things/activities/ideas that are most important to the other person in the relationship,
Does life look good to you right now? Describe your current emotional health.:
Yes, it is going well for me. I am emotionally stable.
Are you doing what you love? If not, what would you rather be doing?:
Like a lot of people, I love most of what I do, most of the time. There are tasks or situations that I am not so fond of now and then. At this time in my life I am playing with different scenarios about what I want my life to be like when I retire -- whenever that seems to be a feasible and appropriate option.
Looking back on your life, of what are you most proud?:
I think I am most proud of being a good person and always being a hard tryer! Everyday, I work at being a better mom, a better friend, a better advisor, a better human being. I am proud of the kind of kids I am raising. I am proud of my values and my belief system and that I can make a difference in people's lives. I always try to give more than I take, lend a helping hand, and treat others the way I want to be treated. I live by the moto: "What you say to your kids they will forget...what you are...they will become". Sure, I make lots of mistakes, I always consider it failing forward. I am proud of my accomplishments, but I am more proud of who I am that what I've done.
Describe an interest you have that you would truly hope your partner could share with you.:
As corny as this sounds...the interest I most want to share with my partner is growing. I believe that we grow together in love and respect or we grow apart. I love learning and experiencing new things. I have many interests including music, sports, dancing, golf (haven't played in some time! But I love it),games, entertaining, movies, theatre, traveling, cooking (especially together and enjoying a romantic night at home)...anything to do with water...I have many interests. I am pretty flexible and adaptable - I just like to have fun whatever I am doing. What I am doing isn't nearly as important as who I am doing it with!
Describe the worst date you've ever been on.:
I haven't been dating so that it a toughie! The worst date I think I could go on would be to a boxing match. And I don't even think it would matter who I was with!
If you had three wishes, what would they be?:
That my children and grandchildren are saved. a life shared with family and friends someone to share my life with, a man that has a strong faith and can be my partner in all things
How important is it to you that your partner fulfill traditional gender roles? Would you like a woman who will cook, shop and keep house? Would you like a man who maintains the cars, manages the finances, and is handy around the house?:
I guess I'm pretty open, I think it's important for people to go with their strengths. I've always worked and cared for my family and home but I've never turned down any help. I'm not very good at the "guy" type things and would love to have a partner to share doing some of those jobs and responsibilities with.
Describe your spirituality.:
Jesus is my savior. I live everyday trying to live as God wants me too. I of course fail but I never give up trying to be the best I can be for Him.
When do you feel most afraid?:
In dark scary places, where I dont feel safe.
What do you think are the three best traits you have to offer a partner?:
I am funny and enjoy life. I am pretty easy going and enjoy life. I dont think Im perfect.
Describe your parents' relationship with each other.:
They were divorced by the time I was 2 so dont really have much to say on that one. I saw my babysitters and her familys relationships which were good and loving so thats good.

What is the most adventuresome thing you've done in the past year?:
I booked myself a trip to Europe a year ago April. Flew to London, then Stockholm for 5 days with an old friend. Back to London where i was on my own just for 2 days, went to the theater and toured the city all day and stayed on the bus, on open top deck, even in the rain! Then on to Amsterdam for 2 weeks. I did alot of sightseeing on my own there as my friends worked during the day. One of the best trips of my lifetime....so far!
Describe your own personal style.:
Laid back but when something is important to me i get pretty passionate. My faith and walking out that faith on a daily basis is very important. My favorite clothing is jeans/casual pants but love to get dressed up periodically. Clogs are my favorite shoes. Getting more fit and staying that way is important for me and it is important my partner feel the same way about himself. As a nurse being overweight(>20 lbs)just isn't good for ya and isn't what God would have for us either.
What is the one dream for your life you most look forward to having come true?:
This is a hard one. It seems like I always have dreams whether it be traveling to Australia or going back to Europe. I would like to find a companion to share my life with. There are all sorts of dreams and not just one. I try to make the most of each day.
Describe your spirituality.:
I grew up going to the church of christ. I am a Christian and believe that it is important to build a relationship with God. It is a continual effort and should never be taken for granted. I am always looking, listening and trying to understand what God is trying to tell me. I also think God should be the center of any and every relationship.
Describe your parents' relationship with each other.:
This is the easiest one. My parents have been married for 58 years in November. They are happily married and would be lost if the other one wasn't there. They raised us to be family oriented with keeping God in our lives. I also have a "special" brother and they took care of him. They worked through any problem that they had. My mother has some health issues now and my dad is right by her side taking care of her.
What is the most adventuresome thing you've done in the past year?:
I Really haven't done anything in the adventure department of the past year. My mother passed away in Aug 2004 so I spent most of the next year getting through the tough times that come with that. Also I have been working on my home in my spare time during this last year so it didn't leave much time for adventure. Of course you could always consider trying to find my Mr Right on the internet an adventure.
What do you find physically attractive? :
A well groomed person. Neat and clean in appearance. I honestly don't have a body preference. I may be attracted to someone from a physical standpoint, but an emotional attraction is the most important.
Describe your own personal style.:
I'm pretty quiet. Not a chatter-box. I do talk to people, but real meaningful conversations usually occur after I know the person. I'm a board member for the Girl Scouts in my area and on the fundraising committee. We have to meet and greet people and ask for donations. I think forcing myself into these situations has been great to get this introvert out a litte more. As for a sense of humor, mine has been called sarcastic or dry wit but not mean or hateful. Use laughter as a defense mechanism for myself or to divert tension in other surroundings for other people. I wear regular clothes and rarely shop for myself which drives my mother and sisters nuts. I would rather buy clothes to last several years than worry about what's the latest trend.I care deeply about those in my life and am passionate about involvement in my children's lives. I'm a plain Jane when it comes to food also. Just meat and potatoes kind of person. Nothing fancy or spicy.
Describe some personal habits that are important to you.:
Being honest, reliable, truthful, non-smoking, not abusive, compromise, understanding, organized, sense of humor, enjoying family activites, cleanliness, passion in the bedroom, not sure what to write here. Is the question really personal habits or traits? Hmmm... guess I'll need to think about that one some more. Oh, forgiveness of me when I accidentally insert my foot in my mouth such as when I asked what an ex could say about you. I thought it was an interesting question, yet I've embarrassed myself. My apologies if I upset you with that question.
Looking back at your life, describe one particular event that you wish you had handled differently.
This is a tough one -- One particular event that I wish I handled differently...... I can't think of one that I am willing to share at this moment
If you had three wishes, what would they be?:
This is a hard one....like Solomon I would spend one wish seeking wisdom, then I would know what to spend the other two wishes on.
Describe an interest you have that you would truly hope your partner could share with you.:
I love getting away for short trips on the weekends. Doing just about anything outside; the beach, the mountains, or just hanging out at the pool.
They say life is about simple pleasures, what is your simplest pleasure, and how does it make you feel?:
To me the simple pleasures are to spend time with my friends and family. We don't have to be doing anything special, just that quality time of being together. I would so enjoy spending time with a special someone as well.
What do you most like to do on a day off?:
My days off are often filled with volunteer activities, hosting out of town guest and fullfilling my church leadership responsibilities. Vacations I spend a number of ways: Traveling or spending some much needed retreat time.
What do you find physically attractive? :
An amazingly bright, insightful, articulate, know how to be loved by God and motivated man. Specific physical features are secondary. A great face and an empty head and spirit is unacceptable. Great mind, strong committment to Christ makes a man more attractive everyday.
Why did you join eHarmony?:
I travel a great deal and I meet a lot of people but found it difficult to learn eanough about others to invest in a true discovery for compatiability. A friend recommended E-Harmony and I gave it try. I am at a hope where I do hope to meet the man I will marry and who will share my life
They say life is about simple pleasures, what is your simplest pleasure, and how does it make you feel?:
Richard, I really like walking outside -- in a park, on a beach, in the mountains -- and just looking at God's handiwork. I lived in Western North Carolina just south of the Great Smoky Mountains for about 10 years -- and in Northeast Georgia (Clayton in Rabun County) for a year and a half before that, as well as in Atlanta and know how beautiful that country is. It makes me feel small and exalted all at the same time, because this awesome God loves me! And it fills me with a great contentment. That doesn't mean I am a "tree hugger," though, because I believe God gave us these vast resources to use and manage wisely.
What do you find physically attractive? :
Physical attraction is not at the top of my list. I prefer tall men with a full head of hair, but I know a lot of men who are "attractive" who have chosen to shave their head. Cleanliness is important -- but I am allergic to many colognes. A warm smile and a hand to hold or an arm around my shoulder are "physically attractive," once a general relationship has begun. But it is who you are inside that is most important.
Describe your own personal style.:
Simple and easy are what I strive for -- but I notice details, & tend to collect things as remembrances. I wear a little makeup, & my hair does its own thing. I just "downsized" my apartment over the past few days. I have been striving to bring my spending under control and within budget, and had prayed that God would allow me to find a less expensive apartment. He answered by opening up a single bedroom unit in the complex I was living in -- so I am trying to sell some of my furniture to make room for it all. I am pretty low key, but I've also been told I'm high maintenance. There is a poem for mothers that says, "Settle down cobwebs, dust go to sleep, I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep." And while I've never had children, housework does take a backseat to almost everything else in life. I try to keep things neat, and often wear dresses and skirts with jackets. But I do love jeans and casual tops in appropriate settings. I don't know if that helps you know me better or not.
Describe your ideal man/woman.:
My ideal man is first, someone who loves the Lord more than anything in the whole world. Someone involved in Ministry, specially in Missions. Someone sincere, faithful. I can't stand liars or someone with hidden agendas. My ideal man is someone who loves me and makes feel I am the most special (and only) woman in the world for him. Someone who will love my children as his own. Someone who respects me and someone I admire. I want a man who knows how to be the man of the house. In other words, I want a man that fears the Lord and will follow His Word as best as he can.
If you could do something totally out of character and remain anonymous what would you do?:
this is a hard one, I don't want to be out of character. I love being who I am and don't like to be someone else. I wouldn't do anything that I have to hide for....
Describe the worst date you've ever been on.:
The worst one is a guy loooong time ago, he had a bad break up and was just miserable the whole time.

Yes. I love dance and am blessed that I am able to be as active as I am. I teach all of our studios' hip hop, tap and jazz classes in three days a week. I get to be a kid all day. When I have days off, I am usually on movie sets or auditioning for movies. I have offered to help set up my agent's hair/makeup salon. They are such a cool group of people. I think it would be neat to help them out. As I said, my life is so fun. It's a new adventure every day.

I love life. I am so excited by the adventures that God has placed in my life. I am truly blessed to have a great family, beautiful daughter, wonderful friends,and fun job. What could be better- maybe a person to share all of that with?

Besides love, I think a lot of communication, mutual respect, the ability to admit you're wrong...... I believe a relationship takes a lot of give and take, unselfish behavior and you have to be willing to work at it everyday just like you do with your career or job...... Don't ever take the other person for granted...... The ability to share ones life without judgment or ridicule...... A strong level of commitment, loyalty and honesty...... To know that life isn't always going to be perfect but be willing to work at it together...... Life can sometimes get very serious so we have to learn how to laugh together and make love often...... :)
If you could accomplish only one thing during the rest of your life, what would it be?:
I would have to say that I hope one day my son will look back and say "thanks to my moms love I am the man that I am, happy, confident and self sufficient"...... And I want his wife to say "my husband is such a good man and father"...... I want him to grow up to be a strong, secure, well adjusted, loving individual...... If I could accomplish that I will be very happy...... :)

I love to dress well...... Whether it's in a pair of jeans or a dress...... I have my own sense of style...... I don't follow trends...... I do love a classic look, something that lasts through the years....... I do like many ethnic clothing...... I always wear very long earrings, rings on my toes and a gold ankle bracelet on my right leg that my parents gave me years ago...... I love to paint my finger nails the same color as my toe nail...... My favorite color is purple my second are shades of green...... I like to wear my hair long......

I have a fairly large family when you include step-families. I have 3 older brothers but both of my parents have been remarried for 25 years which gave me 5 step sisters and 1 step brothers. Many of them are out of state and i do not see at all, I am close to the 2 step sisters on my dad's side and see them at holidays. The holidays that I go home to CT for, I usually spend one day with my dad and that side, and 1 day with my mom, brothers, and families. Mom and Step dad live in FL for the winters and CT for the summers. Nana is 90 and the only elder left in the family. I have 3 nephews and 3 nieces, all ranging from 3 to 20 years old.
When do you feel most afraid?:
The "unknown" factor is always very apparent to me, so when i have to make a a very challenging decision fear sometimes comes in as I attempt to figure out what's best, if i don't stay centered.
Describe your spirituality.:
I believe in a power greater than myself, source energy from which all comes, i feel their are many ways of looking at that, and come from a inter-faith outlook on life. I trust that we are all inherently good and behavior is more a reflection of how connected or dis-connected we are from our true selves. I am on a path of greater awareness and self discovery, so I can be the best i can each and every day, sharing that with others. I don't have much use for judgement, love to connect with nature, animals, I meditate, practice mindfulness as much as possible, enjoy ceremonies that honor the earth and the divine.

I love talking walks, especially when I can get to some of the local parks. I also belong to a gym and try to get there most of the weekdays, although I am not a fanatic health nut. I just want to become/remain healthier in all areas of my life.

There are several things in my life that I'm extremely proud of. First would be my two beautiful daughters, and even though my marriage/relationship did not work, I wouldn't trade them for the world. Secondly, would be the fact that I was able to buy two homes on my own, and third would be my job, that a lot of nay-sayers said I wouldn't be able to get. I'm one of those that the more you tell me I'm incapable of acheiving something, the harder I work at attaining it.

To raise my two girls into wonderful, respectful, loving adults that go out into the world with a sense of vigor and excitedness to acheive whatever they set their mind too. That they find the love of their life, both in marriage and career.

I don't get angry too easily unless one has really pushed every button I have. If I get to that point, which isn't that often and I'm unable to diffuse the situation, I may get a little loud and then I will excuse myself from whatever is making me angry.

The spontaneous i ever did was go to Las Vegas with out a hotel reservation on a saturday during the hoilday.

I've recently started going to the gym again (it's been many years). I try to go at least twice a week. While there I enjoy the bikes, tread mill, swimming. I am looking for a personal trainer to teach me about the weights, etc. I've spent many years focussing on my sons and I have come to realize that I need to take more time for myself so I've started by getting myself back into shape. I also love to dance and there's no better excercise than dancing salsa, merenge all night.
* What is the most spontaneous thing you have ever done?
I am very spontaneous but the most spontaneous thing I guess, would be going to Saudi Arabia for four months. Someone told me about an ad in the paper requiring 300 girls to work in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia for 3 months as flight attendants. I love to travel so thought this would be a great opportunity. I had no experience as a flight attendant or training but sent my resume anyways. My friend's girlfriend helped me prepare for my interview (she was a flight attendant) and it worked... they hired me. I trained in Toronto for 2 months and off I went. It truly was an amazing experience.
* What do you most like to do on a day off?
With the kids, I enjoy taking day trips or going to the beaches and throwing rocks into the lake, playing tag with them, flying kites, playing hide and seek in the playground, riding our bikes..... and then going for lunch to our favourite hamburger place Lick's. By myself, I enjoy going to the spa and pampering myself with a manicure, pedicure, facial, hair cut, etc.... then meeting a friend for lunch or dinner and just relaxing with a movie.

I enjoy life. The lord has given me many blessings and I am thankful for each and everyone of them. I am very much a people person and I hope that one day I have someone by my side to share life's journey that we will be pending time together because without a partner life can be empty . and well strong and healthy.

accepted the Lord when I was 15. I remember it like it was yesterday. It was a very personal and amazing moment in my life. From that day forward I have tried to live my life as an example of His love for me towards others. As an adult I have continued to grow and learn. He is still showing me daily the wonders of His love. I have tried to serve him in as many ways possible through the years.

We're all flawed, and the best partnerships mix in an understanding of this (and the partner's flaws or strengths) with kindness and tolerance. I also have a hypothesis (one of many!) that about 10% of couples have that 'meant to be' quality. I don't necessarily think this quality is due fate, and may well be the product of a fair amount of effort, but there's also a basic compatibility and joy in the relationship that is pretty obvious to me.
* In general, how many nights a week do you go out for entertainment? What sorts of things do you like to do when you go out on the town? Not many. I don't have any particular routine, but I find I'm a bit of a homebody. I'll generally go out when it's an opportunity to meet up or spend time with friends or family. These days I'm keen on the spending time part rather than anything else, so I tend not to do too much by way of going to movies as I'd rather actually spend the time talking. Eating is very good as a way of spending time together! I like to eat at friend's places and entertain at mine. I do visit the theatre several times a year, possibly a music concert, definitely interesting dance shows, and often theatre too.
* How would you spend a romantic evening with someone you have been dating for more than one year? That's difficult. It would depend on the person and what we enjoy doing together. Going somewhere or doing something that has been important in the relationship so far is good for romance - revisiting the place where you felt a certain way about each other or met in the first place. It's all about being thoughtful and choosing something the other person will enjoy. There's nothing more romantic than that!
WILD FORMATE.. Myself
I,m very easy going & fun loving and very caring and well behaved man I love the beach, just learning to surf; I’ve only road in maybe eight waves but I have fallen on my face quite a bit. I like to roller blade.I get out a lot down along the beach in Brooklyn especially the Jones beach park. The park offers fine surf bathing along 6.5 miles of ocean beach, one-half mile of bay beach for still water bathing, and two swimming pools.

Interesting things Fun
I don't get my Kayak out as much as I would like but like it a lot when I do.. I started wake boarding last year with a friend, that is a great time. I'm hoping to get out more often. I ride my bike now and then, there just isn't enough time.
I try to get to the gym at least every other day but work catches me out some times. Work is good, being in the office for very long hrs and working out on documents and files gets me busy all the time.
I like to be out doors as much as I can but when I am in I like to read Herbert, King, Card... A little TV, the daily show, some movies.
I love to laugh more than anything. And I do love chocolate ice cream with my Kids call eric .I go to a meditation group on Sundays to keep me health always for the day.
During Saturdays i like going to the golf park to play golf and some times tennis.I normally go there alone am waiting for my sweet one to be with me for all this games.I will pray to God for this.

Friendship, respect and common interests. Since we are always evolving, interests can change, but those who change together can make it work. Friendship is a requirement. It won't work if you don't LIKE each other. Common respect for the other person's values, problems, and daily lives.
Looking back on your life, of what are you most proud?:
Obtaining my teaching certification. I studied in college to be a teacher for many years and then obtained a job in the Oil and Gas Industry and changed my major. After many years of stress and turmoil I was laid off and decided to finally pursue my dream - to teach. I was 46. Although I had few education classes and my major was history (English was a minor) I took the state tests for professionalism and subject matter and passed them with flying colors the first time out. Woo Oho. I love my job.
Describe some personal habits that are important to you.:
Habits? To me habits are little traits that can either be endearing or annoying; so I am at a loss as to what to say here. Habits I have include: playing with my hair when stressed or bored; chewing my nails; saying "what does that have to do with the price of rice in China? I say that to my students when they get off topic. Good habits: I am eating better and healthier now; I take care of my health; I exercise - ride my bike all over this small town; I help my students when personal problems tend to crop up as they usually do; I support my former students in the military - many still keep in contact with me; I sponsor the only community service club on campus. I hope that helps.
What is the most adventuresome thing you've done in the past year?:
This is probably going to sound really lame, because I have not been an adventurous person. I've spent most of my life trying to be everything to everybody, and have not taken time for myself. So, the most adventurous thing I've done was to start internet dating and, as a result of that, to drive 6 hours to visit a man I met online and had only met in person once, which also meant pumping my own gas on the freeway (one thing in which I indulge myself is getting gas at a full-service gas station). For someone who has been shy most of her life (trying to get over it!) that was a big step for me!
What is the most spontaneous thing you have ever done?:
Well, here again, my answer might disappoint you! I'm more of a plan-ahead kind of person. The only thing I can think of is a couple years ago, I admitted my feelings for someone who had been a friend since we were kids. We ultimately decided that we're better being friends than lovers (some behavior patterns are too hard to break!), but if I hadn't spoken up I probably would have spent my life wondering "what if". So, if my answers are less than stimulating (yawn!), keep in mind that I've spent way too long raising kids and need a man in my life who can "spice" things up and help me rediscover the fun things in life.
Looking back on your life, of what are you most proud?:
I m most proud of getting to where I m now. I also am glad I took the time to take care of my parents, ( particularly my Mom) in their last illnesses. Not easy and quite an emotional drain but I m proud I gave back a little of what I got. I am also proud of getting out of a bad marriage and past that quite painful part of my life.

A sense of humor that has seen me through a lot of tough, sad, and quite almost impossible times. Strength and loyalty of character. I have had the same best friends for over 30 years... almost like sisters. I am fair minded and try to discuss and not scream through a situation. I dont give up easily. I also have been told I m bright so a sense of intelligence is there w/o being an Einstein which is impossible. Hope you understood my many thoughts.

oh so many... I love antiques and estate auctions which are definitely more fun with company, gardening of both flowers and veggies, cooking and experimenting in the kitchen allows for sharing at any and all stages along the way from prep work to tasting, movies and theater...always more fun with company, long rides to nowhere... of course I would hope that my love for furr balls would be shared, and even my crafts have room for company at all stages along the way from creation to marketing and selling.
How would you describe your childhood relationship with your mother and/or father?:
I had a good childhood relationship with my parents. They taught me alot and encouraged me to be on my own and take care of myself.
Are you doing what you love? If not, what would you rather be doing?:
I love my work both professional and the things I do for my church and my community. I sometimes dream of not working so hard but know that I could never not work or be involved in things.
If they were making a movie about your life, what would it be called and which actor would play you?:
The title would be something like No One Would Every Believe. I have seen so much and experienced so much with my work and my life around it that it would be an interested drama comedy. I am not sure who would play my role.
In general, how many nights a week do you go out for entertainment? What sorts of things do you like to do when you go out on the town?:
Usually 2 nights a week I like to go out. Usually I will go out to dinner or go somewhere to listen to music. Other things I like to do include attending a movie or a play. In the summer I like to go to outside restaurants or cafes.
What is the most adventuresome thing you've done in the past year?:
I went to Israel in March of this year for 2 weeks. I saw pretty much all of Israel except the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
Describe the worst date you've ever been on.:
I went to the harness races with someone I ended not having anything in common with. It was very difficult making conversation and the activity itself was not very stimulating. I could not wait for the date to end!

I may go out one night a week. I love to get dressed up and go out to dinner. I am more of a "do things during the day" kind of girl. I love to get dressed up and go out to dinner or to the theater.

I think that it is very important for a man to be a man and a woman to be a woman...i feel that there are things that men are more capable of doing and vice versa. But i also think that it is important to share in cooking, cleaning and yard work...working together to maintain a relationship in all capacities is important. I want to know that my partner respects me and will open my door pull out my chair...and i will be the man that makes that person proud. Biblically a woman is to be subservient to his partner but only when he loves her as Christ loves the church. Many men have trouble understanding this, but it is my philosophy.

She is a Nurse and we both share a great love of animals and work hard to make money through fundraiser for our local animal shelter. We have been friends for over 17 years we met where I work. She has a great sense of humor and is a very giving and caring person.

Communication is the key to a great relationship.sharing, thoughts and opinions, discussing the challenges to arrive at a conclusion together. I also believe in mutual respect and understanding for each other is another aspect of a successful relationship along with being flexible.

I would like to find someone who would accept my daughter whom is married, my grandson and my soon to arrive grandson to be accepted as their own. I would this person and I would be very much alike and love being together.

Have a nice dinner, and watch a movie and spending time talking about goals and dreams while cuddling in front of a fireplace if in winter are watching the water somewhere.

I am looking for a mate that is honest, trustworthly, and enjoys quite nights at home cuddling. Someone who I feel safe with and is willing to be an equal partner in the relationship. A man that is not afraid to be a man and take the leadership role at times. Someone who looks that the inside of a person more that the outer shell, and most of all someone who loves Jesus with all their heart and soul and lives their lives to reflect Jesus to others.

The worst date I was ever on was when I was taken to dinner and then to a club and my date left with another man and asked me to take a cab home. I think that had to be the worse.

Last summer, I went to Panama and explore the rain forest with a group of friends.

I wish I could find a way to deal with frustration in a different way. I really hate it and feel so guilty when I do it.

As long as the two partners actively share in the activities necessary to run the household, have agreed on how to split up these activities, that is what is important. Gender roles should be defined within the context of the relationship. I enjoy cooking, for example, but much prefer to do it with help and company in the kitchen.

Describe the worst date you've ever been on.:
Years ago, when I was living at home and going to college, I was dating a guy regularly who happened to work night shift. He came and picked me up then we went back to his apartment to eat something and decide what we were going to do that evening.He said, "I've got to lie down for just an hour," and went into the bedroom and fell asleep on his bed. After trying to wake him up, I walked up to a cafe nearby and called my dad to come and get me. I found out later he'd been on a date before he picked me up so he hadn't slept in about 24 hours. Needless to say, we didn't go out again. Kind of funny now, in retrospect.
How big is your extended family? What are the holidays like for you and your family?:
I have five great children: my older daughter is married and has three children from 11 to 6 years old; my oldest son is recently married; my middle son has a steady girlfriend; my youngest son is a senior in college and has a steady girl; and my younger daughter is also college age. My parents are blessedly alive and well, as are several of their siblings. Cousins abound. Every one is a unique personality and I enjoy each one. Unfortunately, everyone is at least a day's drive away, except my older daughter, who lives an hour from me. I am very much a traditionalist for holidays, but of modern necessity often have to content myself with only a portion of my extended family together to celebrate. Holiday preparation is hectic, but the meaningful times together bring treasured moments that I wouldn't exchange for anything.
Describe your ideal man/woman.:
I just reread my "must haves/can't stands", and each detail of that section contains so much truth for me. I have always felt relatively flexible about what my "ideal" might be - in other words, he didn't have to have a certain hair or eye color, be a certain height, live in a certain area, etc. and I know everyone has his own quirks and peculiarities along with his great qualities - but that personal foundation must exist. At this age in life, I may be less demanding in some areas - for instance I have already had children, so raising them is not an issue -but may be more demanding in others - now the "together time" with my mate will be spent with ME, not with a van-full of children and their friends, so I would be less tolerant of annoying attitudes and behaviors. I honestly feel that in the ideal relationship the couple's strengths and weaknesses complement each other to make a strong "whole". That is what I seek - my complementary soul to make a "whole".
Describe the worst date you've ever been on.:
(I tried this whole series yesterday, but all my work was lost!) I don't think I've had a "worst date" as an adult, but I'm sure there must be one back in my youthful psyche somewhere! As an adult, negative dates would be ones in which I could tell the relationship would not go much farther, but we still had a pleasant outing. I hope that through eHarmony, suggested dates can find enough compatibility beforehand, so that there might be more connection potential when they actually meet. This program seems to introduce individuals who may not have had the opportunity to get to know each other within their regular routines. Hopefully, those worst date memories, whatever they were, will remain buried deep in my psyche!
During a typical week, what sort of physical activities do you enjoy?:
I exercise at the health club between 3-5 days a week. I get great pleasure out of going for long walks.
If you could accomplish only one thing during the rest of your life, what would it be?:
I enjoy helping others specifically children. I am a recently retired teacher who has found great satisfaction in giving support and attention to children in need over the years.
What is the best thing an ex could say about you?:
Without asking them personally... I would have to assume that they would say I have a warm heart - somone who is a good listener. Supportive in times of conflict and willing to admit when I have made a mistake.

During a typical week, what sort of physical activities do you enjoy?:
I teach kindergarten, so I'm on the go all day. Unfortunately, this job also exhausts me mentally, physically and emotionally. BUT, I love my kids. I try to ride my stationary bike some. On the weekends, I either go to MSU's football games(home), shop, hang out with friends/family, church. I also help with the high school football concession stand at home games.
Looking back on your life, of what are you most proud?:
I am most proud of the work I have done with children. So many children today do not have the rich connection with books that I had growing up. I help them to explore their world and expand their horizons. Being one of the few people in school who does not test them -- they are free to express their thoughts and feelings. In my personal life I am most proud of being an Aunt to my nieces.
If you could accomplish only one thing during the rest of your life, what would it be?:
Wow that is a hard one! One thing in the entire rest of my life? To live a life that will have a positive impact on my friends and family would be a start. To be someone who touched the lives of others would be a wonderful legacy. Having experienced the loss of several friends and family, I know it was the person they were that is important -- not their accomplishments.
Describe the worst date you've ever been on.:
That is funny because I have only really been on one real date in my entire life! I was just telling somone at lunch that this is a question you can ask someone. How would I ever answer? Can't really describe a worst date ever -- but I could go on and on about the worst decade ever!
Looking back on your life, of what are you most proud?:
Hi Richard. . How are you this afternoon? I would say I'm most proud of the raising of my three kids! I AM BLESSED! I knew what an important job I had.. BEING A MOM!! and LOVED IT! Was a stay at home Mom for a lot of years.
What is the most spontaneous thing you have ever done?:
I do think and pray things out. .but if I have the go ahead. .I GO. Have left jobs quickly at times. .with no regrets. Probably the most though was getting married IN A WEEK when I was just 18. Was engaged but we kept moving it up. And I wasn't pregnant!! ha just wanted to be married!
How would you spend a romantic evening with someone you have been dating for more than one year?:
This is a question I usually ask! ha I guess I'm more TRADITIONAL. ..and hope the man takes the lead here. But at times when I would. .his birthday, etc. It would be something planned with him in mind. . .places or things/food he likes. Personally I do like atmosphere. .so like outside deck tables. .or inside by the fire. .wine, cozy. . etc.
What is the one dream for your life you most look forward to having come true?:
Well, one thing I had always wanted was to have a child and I now have that a beautiful daughter. So it would seem the only thing left is a wonderful loving partner to share each others joys with. I have been saying that my picker is broken when it comes to men so, I'm now sort of leaving it up to the big man upstairs to see what he turns up.
If you had three wishes, what would they be?:
To find a true partner/love of my life. Win the lotto Help those that want to help themselves, maybe build and run some sort of place that would, you know, teach a man to fish so he could feed himself. There would be a lot behind what all that would take. Finding ways to get the people to feel good about themselves again etc. etc.

I do like to be spontaneous in most I do, from cold calling on customers to deciding, when I get up, to go to say.. the Home & Garden show. To taking off for another state to go to some sort of evert. I have a timeshare so it's nice to just take off to one of the resorts and then find something to do in that area. Spontaneous might be to go buy a $36K car, a $2,500 bed these being the 2 things I seem to spend the most time in. Don't know if I'm just tired but can't really think of any really grand thing right now.

I believe that having some strong interests, plans, goals that they share is very important, similar money management styles (this is often one problem involved in divorce), acceptance of each other's quirks, being supportive of those things/activities/ideas that are most important to the other person in the relationship,

Yes, it is going well for me. I am emotionally stable.

Like a lot of people, I love most of what I do, most of the time. There are tasks or situations that I am not so fond of now and then. At this time in my life I am playing with different scenarios about what I want my life to be like when I retire -- whenever that seems to be a feasible and appropriate option.
Looking back on your life, of what are you most proud?:
I think I am most proud of being a good person and always being a hard tryer! Everyday, I work at being a better mom, a better friend, a better advisor, a better human being. I am proud of the kind of kids I am raising. I am proud of my values and my belief system and that I can make a difference in people's lives. I always try to give more than I take, lend a helping hand, and treat others the way I want to be treated. I live by the moto: "What you say to your kids they will forget...what you are...they will become". Sure, I make lots of mistakes, I always consider it failing forward. I am proud of my accomplishments, but I am more proud of who I am that what I've done.
Describe an interest you have that you would truly hope your partner could share with you.:
As corny as this sounds...the interest I most want to share with my partner is growing. I believe that we grow together in love and respect or we grow apart. I love learning and experiencing new things. I have many interests including music, sports, dancing, golf (haven't played in some time! But I love it),games, entertaining, movies, theatre, traveling, cooking (especially together and enjoying a romantic night at home)...anything to do with water...I have many interests. I am pretty flexible and adaptable - I just like to have fun whatever I am doing. What I am doing isn't nearly as important as who I am doing it with!

I haven't been dating so that it a toughie! The worst date I think I could go on would be to a boxing match. And I don't even think it would matter who I was with!

That my children and grandchildren are saved. a life shared with family and friends someone to share my life with, a man that has a strong faith and can be my partner in all things
How important is it to you that your partner fulfill traditional gender roles? Would you like a woman who will cook, shop and keep house? Would you like a man who maintains the cars, manages the finances, and is handy around the house?:
I guess I'm pretty open, I think it's important for people to go with their strengths. I've always worked and cared for my family and home but I've never turned down any help. I'm not very good at the "guy" type things and would love to have a partner to share doing some of those jobs and responsibilities with.

Jesus is my savior. I live everyday trying to live as God wants me too. I of course fail but I never give up trying to be the best I can be for Him.

What is the most adventuresome thing you've done in the past year?:
I booked myself a trip to Europe a year ago April. Flew to London, then Stockholm for 5 days with an old friend. Back to London where i was on my own just for 2 days, went to the theater and toured the city all day and stayed on the bus, on open top deck, even in the rain! Then on to Amsterdam for 2 weeks. I did alot of sightseeing on my own there as my friends worked during the day. One of the best trips of my lifetime....so far!
Describe your own personal style.:
Laid back but when something is important to me i get pretty passionate. My faith and walking out that faith on a daily basis is very important. My favorite clothing is jeans/casual pants but love to get dressed up periodically. Clogs are my favorite shoes. Getting more fit and staying that way is important for me and it is important my partner feel the same way about himself. As a nurse being overweight(>20 lbs)just isn't good for ya and isn't what God would have for us either.
What is the one dream for your life you most look forward to having come true?:
This is a hard one. It seems like I always have dreams whether it be traveling to Australia or going back to Europe. I would like to find a companion to share my life with. There are all sorts of dreams and not just one. I try to make the most of each day.
Describe your spirituality.:
I grew up going to the church of christ. I am a Christian and believe that it is important to build a relationship with God. It is a continual effort and should never be taken for granted. I am always looking, listening and trying to understand what God is trying to tell me. I also think God should be the center of any and every relationship.
Describe your parents' relationship with each other.:
This is the easiest one. My parents have been married for 58 years in November. They are happily married and would be lost if the other one wasn't there. They raised us to be family oriented with keeping God in our lives. I also have a "special" brother and they took care of him. They worked through any problem that they had. My mother has some health issues now and my dad is right by her side taking care of her.
What is the most adventuresome thing you've done in the past year?:
I Really haven't done anything in the adventure department of the past year. My mother passed away in Aug 2004 so I spent most of the next year getting through the tough times that come with that. Also I have been working on my home in my spare time during this last year so it didn't leave much time for adventure. Of course you could always consider trying to find my Mr Right on the internet an adventure.
What do you find physically attractive? :
A well groomed person. Neat and clean in appearance. I honestly don't have a body preference. I may be attracted to someone from a physical standpoint, but an emotional attraction is the most important.
Describe your own personal style.:
I'm pretty quiet. Not a chatter-box. I do talk to people, but real meaningful conversations usually occur after I know the person. I'm a board member for the Girl Scouts in my area and on the fundraising committee. We have to meet and greet people and ask for donations. I think forcing myself into these situations has been great to get this introvert out a litte more. As for a sense of humor, mine has been called sarcastic or dry wit but not mean or hateful. Use laughter as a defense mechanism for myself or to divert tension in other surroundings for other people. I wear regular clothes and rarely shop for myself which drives my mother and sisters nuts. I would rather buy clothes to last several years than worry about what's the latest trend.I care deeply about those in my life and am passionate about involvement in my children's lives. I'm a plain Jane when it comes to food also. Just meat and potatoes kind of person. Nothing fancy or spicy.

Being honest, reliable, truthful, non-smoking, not abusive, compromise, understanding, organized, sense of humor, enjoying family activites, cleanliness, passion in the bedroom, not sure what to write here. Is the question really personal habits or traits? Hmmm... guess I'll need to think about that one some more. Oh, forgiveness of me when I accidentally insert my foot in my mouth such as when I asked what an ex could say about you. I thought it was an interesting question, yet I've embarrassed myself. My apologies if I upset you with that question.

This is a tough one -- One particular event that I wish I handled differently...... I can't think of one that I am willing to share at this moment

I love getting away for short trips on the weekends. Doing just about anything outside; the beach, the mountains, or just hanging out at the pool.

To me the simple pleasures are to spend time with my friends and family. We don't have to be doing anything special, just that quality time of being together. I would so enjoy spending time with a special someone as well.

My days off are often filled with volunteer activities, hosting out of town guest and fullfilling my church leadership responsibilities. Vacations I spend a number of ways: Traveling or spending some much needed retreat time.

Richard, I really like walking outside -- in a park, on a beach, in the mountains -- and just looking at God's handiwork. I lived in Western North Carolina just south of the Great Smoky Mountains for about 10 years -- and in Northeast Georgia (Clayton in Rabun County) for a year and a half before that, as well as in Atlanta and know how beautiful that country is. It makes me feel small and exalted all at the same time, because this awesome God loves me! And it fills me with a great contentment. That doesn't mean I am a "tree hugger," though, because I believe God gave us these vast resources to use and manage wisely.
What do you find physically attractive? :
Physical attraction is not at the top of my list. I prefer tall men with a full head of hair, but I know a lot of men who are "attractive" who have chosen to shave their head. Cleanliness is important -- but I am allergic to many colognes. A warm smile and a hand to hold or an arm around my shoulder are "physically attractive," once a general relationship has begun. But it is who you are inside that is most important.

Simple and easy are what I strive for -- but I notice details, & tend to collect things as remembrances. I wear a little makeup, & my hair does its own thing. I just "downsized" my apartment over the past few days. I have been striving to bring my spending under control and within budget, and had prayed that God would allow me to find a less expensive apartment. He answered by opening up a single bedroom unit in the complex I was living in -- so I am trying to sell some of my furniture to make room for it all. I am pretty low key, but I've also been told I'm high maintenance. There is a poem for mothers that says, "Settle down cobwebs, dust go to sleep, I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep." And while I've never had children, housework does take a backseat to almost everything else in life. I try to keep things neat, and often wear dresses and skirts with jackets. But I do love jeans and casual tops in appropriate settings. I don't know if that helps you know me better or not.

My ideal man is first, someone who loves the Lord more than anything in the whole world. Someone involved in Ministry, specially in Missions. Someone sincere, faithful. I can't stand liars or someone with hidden agendas. My ideal man is someone who loves me and makes feel I am the most special (and only) woman in the world for him. Someone who will love my children as his own. Someone who respects me and someone I admire. I want a man who knows how to be the man of the house. In other words, I want a man that fears the Lord and will follow His Word as best as he can.

this is a hard one, I don't want to be out of character. I love being who I am and don't like to be someone else. I wouldn't do anything that I have to hide for....

Yes. I love dance and am blessed that I am able to be as active as I am. I teach all of our studios' hip hop, tap and jazz classes in three days a week. I get to be a kid all day. When I have days off, I am usually on movie sets or auditioning for movies. I have offered to help set up my agent's hair/makeup salon. They are such a cool group of people. I think it would be neat to help them out. As I said, my life is so fun. It's a new adventure every day.

I love life. I am so excited by the adventures that God has placed in my life. I am truly blessed to have a great family, beautiful daughter, wonderful friends,and fun job. What could be better- maybe a person to share all of that with?

Don't ever take the other person for granted...... The ability to share ones life without judgment or ridicule...... A strong level of commitment, loyalty and honesty...... To know that life isn't always going to be perfect but be willing to work at it together...... Life can sometimes get very serious so we have to learn how to laugh together and make love often...... :)

I would have to say that I hope one day my son will look back and say "thanks to my moms love I am the man that I am, happy, confident and self sufficient"...... And I want his wife to say "my husband is such a good man and father"...... I want him to grow up to be a strong, secure, well adjusted, loving individual...... If I could accomplish that I will be very happy...... :)

I love to dress well...... Whether it's in a pair of jeans or a dress...... I have my own sense of style...... I don't follow trends...... I have a fairly large family when you include step-families. I have 3 older brothers but both of my parents have been remarried for 25 years which gave me 5 step sisters and 1 step brothers. Many of them are out of state and i do not see at all, I am close to the 2 step sisters on my dad's side and see them at holidays. The holidays that I go home to CT for, I usually spend one day with my dad and that side, and 1 day with my mom, brothers, and families. Mom and Step dad live in FL for the winters and CT for the summers. Nana is 90 and the only elder left in the family. I have 3 nephews and 3 nieces, all ranging from 3 to 20 years old.
When do you feel most afraid?:
The "unknown" factor is always very apparent to me, so when i have to make a a very challenging decision fear sometimes comes in as I attempt to figure out what's best, if i don't stay centered.
Describe your spirituality.:
I believe in a power greater than myself, source energy from which all comes, i feel their are many ways of looking at that, and come from a inter-faith outlook on life. I trust that we are all inherently good and behavior is more a reflection of how connected or dis-connected we are from our true selves. I am on a path of greater awareness and self discovery, so I can be the best i can each and every day, sharing that with others. I don't have much use for judgement, love to connect with nature, animals, I meditate, practice mindfulness as much as possible, enjoy ceremonies that honor the earth and the divine.

There are several things in my life that I'm extremely proud of. First would be my two beautiful daughters, and even though my marriage/relationship did not work, I wouldn't trade them for the world. Secondly, would be the fact that I was able to buy two homes on my own, and third would be my job, that a lot of nay-sayers said I wouldn't be able to get. I'm one of those that the more you tell me I'm incapable of acheiving something, the harder I work at attaining it.

1. During a typical week, what sort of physical activities do you enjoy?
I've recently started going to the gym again (it's been many years). I try to go at least twice a week. While there I enjoy the bikes, tread mill, swimming. I am looking for a personal trainer to teach me about the weights, etc. I've spent many years focussing on my sons and I have come to realize that I need to take more time for myself so I've started by getting myself back into shape. I also love to dance and there's no better excercise than dancing salsa, merenge all night.
* What is the most spontaneous thing you have ever done?
I am very spontaneous but the most spontaneous thing I guess, would be going to Saudi Arabia for four months. Someone told me about an ad in the paper requiring 300 girls to work in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia for 3 months as flight attendants. I love to travel so thought this would be a great opportunity. I had no experience as a flight attendant or training but sent my resume anyways. My friend's girlfriend helped me prepare for my interview (she was a flight attendant) and it worked... they hired me. I trained in Toronto for 2 months and off I went. It truly was an amazing experience.
* What do you most like to do on a day off?
With the kids, I enjoy taking day trips or going to the beaches and throwing rocks into the lake, playing tag with them, flying kites, playing hide and seek in the playground, riding our bikes..... and then going for lunch to our favourite hamburger place Lick's. By myself, I enjoy going to the spa and pampering myself with a manicure, pedicure, facial, hair cut, etc.... then meeting a friend for lunch or dinner and just relaxing with a movie.

I enjoy life. The lord has given me many blessings and I am thankful for each and everyone of them. I am very much a people person and I hope that one day I have someone by my side to share life's journey that we will be pending time together because without a partner life can be empty . and well strong and healthy.

accepted the Lord when I was 15. I remember it like it was yesterday. It was a very personal and amazing moment in my life. From that day forward I have tried to live my life as an example of His love for me towards others. As an adult I have continued to grow and learn. He is still showing me daily the wonders of His love. I have tried to serve him in as many ways possible through the years.
* Besides love, what one trait have you noticed in couples that have maintained a successful relationship for many years? Definitely tolerance and kindness. We're all flawed, and the best partnerships mix in an understanding of this (and the partner's flaws or strengths) with kindness and tolerance. I also have a hypothesis (one of many!) that about 10% of couples have that 'meant to be' quality. I don't necessarily think this quality is due fate, and may well be the product of a fair amount of effort, but there's also a basic compatibility and joy in the relationship that is pretty obvious to me.
* In general, how many nights a week do you go out for entertainment? What sorts of things do you like to do when you go out on the town? Not many. I don't have any particular routine, but I find I'm a bit of a homebody. I'll generally go out when it's an opportunity to meet up or spend time with friends or family. These days I'm keen on the spending time part rather than anything else, so I tend not to do too much by way of going to movies as I'd rather actually spend the time talking. Eating is very good as a way of spending time together! I like to eat at friend's places and entertain at mine. I do visit the theatre several times a year, possibly a music concert, definitely interesting dance shows, and often theatre too.
* How would you spend a romantic evening with someone you have been dating for more than one year? That's difficult. It would depend on the person and what we enjoy doing together. Going somewhere or doing something that has been important in the relationship so far is good for romance - revisiting the place where you felt a certain way about each other or met in the first place. It's all about being thoughtful and choosing something the other person will enjoy. There's nothing more romantic than that!
WILD FORMATE.. Myself
I,m very easy going & fun loving and very caring and well behaved man I love the beach, just learning to surf; I’ve only road in maybe eight waves but I have fallen on my face quite a bit. I like to roller blade.I get out a lot down along the beach in Brooklyn especially the Jones beach park. The park offers fine surf bathing along 6.5 miles of ocean beach, one-half mile of bay beach for still water bathing, and two swimming pools.

Interesting things Fun
I don't get my Kayak out as much as I would like but like it a lot when I do.. I started wake boarding last year with a friend, that is a great time. I'm hoping to get out more often. I ride my bike now and then, there just isn't enough time.
I try to get to the gym at least every other day but work catches me out some times. Work is good, being in the office for very long hrs and working out on documents and files gets me busy all the time.
I like to be out doors as much as I can but when I am in I like to read Herbert, King, Card... A little TV, the daily show, some movies.
I love to laugh more than anything. And I do love chocolate ice cream with my Kids call eric .I go to a meditation group on Sundays to keep me health always for the day.
During Saturdays i like going to the golf park to play golf and some times tennis.I normally go there alone am waiting for my sweet one to be with me for all this games.I will pray to God for this.
