I read your email last night, but I was not having enough energy to write back as at that time... With my background, Am a Portuguese descent as you already know. Had most of my basic and middle education in Europe (Portugal) but later moved to Canada to graduate as a civil engineer from the University of Waterloo in Ontario. After graduating, I worked as a project engineering manager for Tartan Engineering (an oil and gas construction firm in Canada) until they merged with PSN (a Scottish construction firm). I then relocated to the States to earn a gemology license at the Gemological Institute of America in California, which gave me the pace to become a broker of precious minerals  ( buying and selling is what I do and I work on my own so my working hours are kinda flexible, I am currently opening a jewelry store, it will be done by November for the Christmas shopping, so you can pass by  to shop sometimes..lol I will tell you more about it as we continue to get to know each other). It has being one of my greatest achievements by switching from the cooperate career to a self established venture.

All the same the reason we all joined the website is finding the right person, I am looking for a woman that's not afraid to open her heart and exchange true emotions.                                 How is your day treating you so far.. Thanks for the complements I got the email yesterday, but I was too tired to write back, I wanted us to talk on the phone last night but it seems you did not get my short note. if you dont mind we can continue communicating on the phone and see where that will take us.  I really enjoyed reading your emails and I feel I am becoming more comfortable sharing more about me with you.  you sound nice and I like your skills of communication. You have the qualities, and I am enjoying getting to know you. we seem to share the same common interest. I believe we are going to be good together

As you already know, I have never had a child of my own so my leisure time are spent, hunging out, paintings and doing anything that looks fun, go to the movies, play golf, dine out, play cards, read,  go watch sports, of cause I am a panters fun and I dont miss their games. I skii, swim, boat, fish, workout.. I also have elliptical that I use about 3 times a week and I enjoy walking when time permit.  Other times are spent doing the usual housework, and of course I did have a person taking care of my yard work, but they were coming only when they wanted to instead of every week , so I decided to do the yard myself.  I very much like working in the flower garden and am establishing the gardens in my back yard.  I also keep the bird feeders and bird baths maintained as I enjoy watching them early morning  so all of that keeps me busy.

I love all the seasons of the year. Spring and fall being my favorite. I love to look nice and always try to look my best, I wear casual dressy mostly and I look forward to feeling and looking special, My favorite color is orange and they look sleek on me. I like to try to keep myself well maintained for the special person, but also know that there are times when I just want to relax and feel comfortable but I know how to dress for any occasion, and own the appropriate clothing as well.

I spent the '09 Christmas Holidays in France. I enjoyed time there...I toured Paris, Mont St Michelle, Gaverny, Van Gogh, and other places. I stayed in the French Quarter. Loved every minute of my stay.  I had a fabulous time and did a tremendous amount of walking.  Wine was wonderful, do you smoke. I drink occationally but dont smoke, though it is not a problem for me if my partner smokes. red wine is my favorite.... Bonefish, Bravo, Chop House Grill, Changs, yum yum, Lock Stock & Bagle...the movies...the beach...the lake are my favorite places. I want to go west, Yellowstone, Alaska and south to blue water and also like the west coast of Florida. Travelings is still part of me, because it plays a major role in my business speculation.

I love to cook (but not all that good in it), especially if I have someone to share a glass of wine with and talk to while I'm preparing it.  And really enjoy looking for new and special recieps to cook. I don't take that as I love to cook all the time.  I also like to  go out to eat as well.  I love to eat almost all types of food.  My favorite being seafood and steak.  Cold water Lobster is my absolute favorite.  Had some during the Christmas holiday.  Nothing like getting it fresh from the boats in season.  You can't get it any more fresh or wonderful. I am the only child of my parents, but I have anties and uncles back in Portugal.. but we are not in good terms because of some family issues we will talk more about it as we continue to get to know one another.

I listen to easy listening XM 23 The Heart, and most of the time listen to 78 Escape, but also enjoy classical, Christian, 40's, 50's,60's, 70',80, and some 90's. Almost anything.  I'm pretty easy going with music, as long as it's not screaming at me.

I have a very bravery and a generous personality, compassionate outlook and friendly nature.. I am all about honesty, justice and harmony. I am a true extrovert and get along with people as I am knowing them from their previous life, and yet I am very introspective and philosophical. Will you like to share with me some of your favorite things or anything possible in mind which you feel comfortable in sharing with me.
